Recently, Sanstone Health called upon us requesting that we participate in a silent auction, the proceeds of which would benefit the Council for Aging. Their idea to raise money was so creative: those participating would make a holiday wreath, which would then be auctioned off. Of course, we said yes, and sent our very own mini-Martha Stewart, Beth Johnson, to make the wreath.
Everyone met on Nov 27th at The Lodge Rehabilitation Center in Mills River, NC. Each participant brought a wreath, ribbon, and accessories and wine and appetizers were served. Everyone had a blast, and by the end of the night, there were over 50 beautiful wreaths decorated. Don’t you love how our Director of Delight incorporated the Red Carpet theme into the wreath?
Sanstone was kind enough to invite Beth and her adorable children back later for ice cream as well! We are so proud of Beth and her decorating skills, and incredibly grateful to be a part of this fundraiser for an awesome cause!
